Our Leadership

David Kimm

Board Member

David Kimm is a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co., supporting the global risk, wealth and investment management practices. A highly accomplished financial services executive with deep expertise in designing, building, integrating, and optimizing complex business operations. He is regarded as a thought leader on risk, compliance, and audit management best practices as well as SEC Board regulations. As Executive VP, Chief Risk Officer and Treasurer at TD Ameritrade Holding Co., he established the firm’s first risk management entity and built high-performing teams, while concurrently serving a five-year term on the board of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). In prior roles, David served as a senior leader with financial services institutions including Wachovia Securities/Wells Fargo Advisors, First Clearing, LLC, LPL Financial Services and Fidelity Investments. A servant leader and veteran, David earned his MBA at New York University and spent eight years in the U.S. Army, including four as a Staff Officer at The Pentagon. David also serves the community as a Partner in Social Ventures Partners/Charleston and a mentor at the Harbor Entrepreneur Center.

Jeffrey Angerman

Board Member

Jeffrey Angerman is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Blackbaud, Inc., and is a seasoned corporate attorney with significant experience handling payments, financial regulatory compliance, SEC and corporate governance, and complex corporate and transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Blackbaud, he was in private practice at a leading international law firm where he advised both public companies and private equity sponsors in a wide variety of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, restructurings, financings and dispositions. Jeff is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a former commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Jeff earned a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Elizabeth Marenakos

Board Member

Elizabeth Marenakos is Director of Product Marketing and Value Enablement at Blackbaud Inc and has 20 years of experience in developing and launching successful products for the nonprofit sector. Passionate about building capability that enable nonprofit success, Liz has worked closely with hundreds of organizations that manage Endowed Funds or Scholarships or offer Donor Advised Funds. In so doing, she has developed a deep operational understanding of the management of DAFs, endowments and other restricted funds that require a high degree of stewardship. Liz is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and holds a Masters in Accountancy from the College of Charleston.

Tycely Williams

Board Member

Tycely Williams, CFRE, is an award-winning C-suite executive who has led inclusive teams that raised and managed over $600M in her 25-year career. She currently serves as the CEO of Liberty Fellowship and previously held chief development roles at the Bipartisan Policy Center and America’s Promise Alliance. Tycely chairs the boards of The Nonprofit Alliance Foundation and YWCA National Capital Area. She also serves on the boards of Leadership Greater Washington, The Institute for Responsible Citizenship, and The Blackbaud Giving Fund, the 10th largest donor-advised fund in the U.S., which has transferred over $2.2B to 195,000+ nonprofits since 2020. A past president of AFP DC, she also led AFP’s Global Women’s Impact Initiative and Inclusion Committee. Tycely is a Certified Fundraising Executive and 2023 Nonprofit Times Top 50 Power & Influence honoree. She holds degrees and certificates from Wake Forest, Georgetown, Duke, Boston University, and Harvard and teaches at Penn State’s World Campus.

Catherine LaCour

Catherine LaCour

CEO and Executive Director

Catherine LaCour is a purpose-driven executive with more than 25 years of experience transforming organizations and advancing social impact. She serves as the chief executive officer and executive director of The Blackbaud Giving Fund, leading its mission to connect people to the causes they care about worldwide. 

Prior to this role, Catherine served as chief marketing officer at Blackbaud, leading global brand and marketing, corporate communications, and lifecycle marketing, including strategic go‑to‑market and retention initiatives. She also oversaw the Blackbaud Institute, advancing research and insights to help accelerate impact across the social impact sector. Catherine is a sought-after speaker for platforms including TEDx and the Social Innovation Summit and is a member of the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit community.

In 2021, Catherine was named one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology by the National Diversity Council. She serves on several nonprofit and education-focused boards and is a Liberty Fellow through the Aspen Global Leadership Network. A Charleston native, Catherine holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BS in Business from the College of Charleston, and is deeply committed to strengthening the social economy.

Holly Ivel

Operations Director

Holly Ivel is the Operations Director for The Blackbaud Giving Fund, supporting the organization’s mission to unleash generosity by connecting people to causes they care about around the world. Holly has a deep background in program and people management and data analytics. Her experience spans a wide range of industries – having worked in higher education, the nonprofit sector, for a fortune 250 utility company, and most recently for a certified B-corp insuring youth-serving organizations.

Holly brings strong nonprofit and donor-advised fund experience having served as the Senior Director of Data Services and Senior Director of Business Development at CANDID (formerly Guidestar) where she led efforts to mature and expand their data services and as the Director of Program Management at Fidelity Charitable where she made significant improvements to grant making operations and oversaw the International Granting and Philanthropic Advice programs. In addition to her passion for the nonprofit sector, Holly is an advocate for women’s education and currently serves at the Chair of the Business School Advisory Board at Meredith College.

Holly holds a BA in Economics from Wheaton College in MA, an MS in College Student Development from Northeastern University, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
